It depends on how big the tattoo is - if it's small, you could probably go to any legit laser surgeon and be done with it in a few sessions. Anything big and ostentatious and, well, it depends how badly you need to hide it. At least a doctor's office would be bound by confidentiality so if you're hinting that you want to find out through the whisper stream, I think you wouldn't stay under cover long enough.
If I were you I'd flip the problem around and focus on giving other people tattoos. That way you won't be the only person in your circle with a tattoo that's hard to explain. posted by tel3path at 6:49 AM on April 1, 2014 [1 favorite]
