till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken

One of my sled dogs is very sick and I'm afraid I have no choice but to put her down. How can I cope with this loss? It's my dog Naanak. She's sick and in very bad pain. There's nothing I can do but sacrifice her. Yes, I know it's normal. She's a very old dog. But I can't give up on her. I can't say goodbye. I love that dog so much. (I radioed for advice but it wasn't of much help.)

I'm a little surprised you haven't heard from another user about this problem already, but here goes:

You must move on with your life; letting go is the most important advice I can give you. I'm sorry the radio advice wasn't exactly down to earth. But you've got to learn to let go.

The gravity of a situation like this is undeniable. Sometimes you just need to look towards the stars and not let the debris of day-to-day life get in your way. Maybe you just need a little space?

Hello! Sorry to hijack your thread, but I'm traveling right now and can't contact mod HQ. When did George Clooney disable his account? I mean, am I hallucinating, or was he just here?

Are you religious at all? Reciting a committal may help you say goodbye. You know, "Ashes to ashes, mush to mush" etc.

Can't possibly advise without pictures of your doggie! It's a rule here. Seriously.
